Excursion to the Best Attractions in Almaty
This tour covers some of the top sites in Almaty, including:
- Shymbulak Ski Resort: Nestled in the mountains at an elevation of 2,200 to 3,200 meters, you'll take a cable car to the highest point of the Talgar Pass.
- Medeo Skating Rink: Located at 1,690 meters, this high-altitude rink is a symbol of Almaty.
- Kok-Tobe Mountain: Accessible by cable car from the city center, Kok-Tobe offers stunning views and features an amusement park and souvenir shops.
- 28 Panfilov Park: Situated in the city center, this historic park is home to the Ascension Cathedral, the Eternal Flame, and the Memorial of Glory, which commemorates the 30th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.
- Green Bazaar: A bustling market with a rich history, it offers a wide variety of goods, including meat, dried fruits, fresh produce, dairy products, souvenirs, and more, making it a key landmark of the city.
Itinerary:
- 1. Departure to Shymbulak Ski Resort In the morning, your driver will pick you up from your chosen location for a 40-minute drive to Chimbulak Ski Resort. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a 2-hour excursion, including a trip to the highest point of Chimbulak, where you can stroll and take in stunning mountain views.
- 2. Visit to Medeo After exploring Chimbulak, you'll head to Medeo, which is just a 5-minute drive away. Here, you’ll have a 30-minute walking tour.
- 3. Visit to Kok-Tobe Mountain Next, you’ll travel to Kok-Tobe (25 minutes). Upon arrival, you’ll take a cable car to the mountain, where you’ll enjoy a 1-hour walking tour with panoramic views of the city.
- 4. Visit to 28 Panfilov Park After Kok-Tobe, you’ll proceed to 28 Panfilov Park (20 minutes). You’ll have a 1-hour walking tour of the park upon arrival.
- 5. Visit to the Green Bazaar Finally, you’ll visit the Green Bazaar (15 minutes), where you’ll have a 1-hour walking tour inside the market. Here, you can shop for souvenirs. Afterward, your driver will drop you off at your desired location in the city.
